Use Cut&Slice me to export your assets to different devices in seconds. Improve your workflow by just naming your layers.
Boost your Workflow
Not everyone name his layers properly.
But if you have that discipline, you can export your assets in seconds. Simply add some characters at the end of your layer names.
Cut&Slice me cuts and exports them in png format trimming the pixels you dont need, or let you can specify the size you want. Or you can export all states of your buttons in the blink of an eye.
Forget obsolete Photoshop Slices
Photoshop hasnt change the way it exports for the web since the web was all tables. The Internet has changed. Create overlapping slices exporting only what you need in the minimal time with the maximum detail: no more cut gradients.
We introduce the new slice.
Export easily your button states
Create many groups as the number of states your button has. Cut&Slice me will export them. If you need them to be all the same size, all you need to do is put a rectangular vector with the size you need.
One Design to rule all resolutions
Design at full resolution and export it to different sizes.
Cut&Slice me export to iPhone and Android, also removes all unsupported characters in the file name.
For iPhone design for retina, for Android design for xxhdpi and then export to ldpi, mdpi and hdpi with only one click.
Only some simple rules
Organise your elements in groups, as if they were objects.
Add @ at the end of the layer name you want to export, the content will be exported as a png trimming all transparent pixels.
If you want your file to be a particular size, then create a rectangular vector as first layer and name it #. Your group will be exported at that size.
Include “_BTN” to export all states in your buttons. Add groups containing your button states and name them as follows:
clicked / pressed
Absolute Color is based on a hue wheel subdivised into 6 sectors of 60 degrees. Choose a sector to restrict the tints of the image to this one.
Example 1: Here the magenta-red sector was chosen.
Example 2: Applied to the full spectrum, the sector green-cyan gives result below:
This filter has two options:
When this option is checked, the luminance is protected. However, when it is unchecked, the plugin does not make any calculation!!! The three values r,g,b of each colors are just sorted out according to the chosen sector. Recommendation: leave marked.
Let’s suppose that you chose the yellow-red sector. If you mark this option, the red tints will be inverted with the yellow tints.
New in version 1.1:
The internal out of gamut clipping method V1 has been replaced by the new method “Recommend V2” featured by HSL Plus 1.1. So you might get slightly different results when clipping occurs.
HSL Plus 1.1 is similar to the traditional hue/saturation/luminosity balance, but with some Plus:
A better colour integrity, especially for the luminosity.
A better control of the luminosity, notably the possibility of modifying contrast.
The possibility of making an automatic contrast (due to the Auto button) then of re-adjusting.
Four Out of Gamut Clipping methods (click here for explanations).
Example 1: Here, we made a simple rotation of the tint of 180 . Compare the two results below.
Example 2: Here we pressed the Auto button , then set the saturation to level 50.
New in version 1.1 :
Feature a new clipping method Recommended V2. The old V1 method was discarding too much of luminosity information. The new method is a better compromise between V1 and plain desaturation.
